Inclusive Access
Inclusive Access (IA) is a digital delivery option for course materials which
is less expensive than traditional print textbooks.
IA connects learners and faculty with digital learning tools through
HACC’s learning management system (LMS) Desire2Learn (D2L).
Learners have access to the correct course materials on the first day of
class through a desktop, laptop, or
mobile device.
Learners receive access to the material upon the first day of class but may
opt out of the program through the
add/drop date. The charge for IA is
done as a course or CRN fee at registration.
If learners would like a print copy, there is an inexpensive loose-leaf
version, available for select courses, that can be purchased after the add/drop date.
An email is sent to learners before
classes begin with instructions on how to access their digital course materials
content.
Since HACC has started Inclusive Access, the average cost to learners for IA has been $54.36 per course. And, 99.82 percent of students remain in the IA program.
